Elizabeth "Ellie" Boon was selected as the Camas Washougal Rotary Scholar of the Month for February 2011. Ellie is a sophomore at Washougal High School and has an impressive 3.933 GPA. Ellie's World Geography teacher Scott Boothby describes Ellie as an "absolute pleasure to have in class" and says that she "raised the standard in the class and was a leader others attempted to follow." Stephanie Watts, Ellie's PE teacher, describes her as a wonderful asset to WHS, noting that she "always has a smile on her face, a jump in her step, and a fun story to share." She has been honored for two years in a row with her selection for the First Team All-State Girls Soccer Team. Ellie has excellent time management skills, juggling her studies and her commitment to soccer, and is an excellent student.
